Last September, GADA took part in the first coordination meeting on the topic of sustainability, organized by Palex for Spain, Italy and Portugal.
This meeting not only represented an important stage in the international collaboration between the PALEX companies – of which GADA is an integral part – but also opened the way for a solid and joint work plan in view of the sustainability policy promoted by the Group.
In this session, organized in the context of Barcelona, the team was involved in the creation of ideas aimed at promoting the engagement of all the Group’s collaborators and aligning the actions undertaken with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With the awareness that sustainability is not just a trendy word, but a pressing necessity, the Group is committed to integrating it into every cog of its organization.
Active participation: The key to our success
One of the central topics of the discussion was how to promote the active participation of employees. Recognizing them as an essential part of the organization and foundation of being PALEX, the session was organized by encouraging and preserving everyone’s ideas and contributions, with the shared aim of creating an environment in which every voice is heard and valued. GADA shares with PALEX the commitment to making its people feel inspired and motivated, becoming part of the positive change promoted by the Group.
Concrete actions for a sustainable future
With the aim of contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the trinational team has outlined concrete actions that will reflect the commitment of PALEX and the Group companies to sustainability: from internal practices to reduce the carbon footprint community initiatives to promote equity and health, a path is mapped out that goes beyond words, towards meaningful actions.
Projects undertaken include incorporating sustainable initiatives into the supply chain, as well as training programs to raise employee awareness of green practices in the workplace. GADA, alongside with PALEX, is committed to being a point of reference not only in the health sector, but also in promoting a more sustainable and equitable world.
